The US LBM Foundation announced that it would be allocating funds to each division through the Foundation for Giving program. This initiative was established so that the US LBM Foundation can support the charitable causes that are important to our local divisions. Arrow Building Center in Spooner, WI used their funds to support ‘Faith’s Lodge’.
Faith’s Lodge is a sanctuary where parents who are coping with the loss of a child can find support and comfort.
This unique retreat offers weekend experiences designed to provide support and comfort through professional grief counseling, therapeutic activities, and group connections that foster healing. “As the first dedicated retreat facility of its kind, our goal is to connect families and give them tools for coping with grief and its challenges in a healthy way.” (Faith’s Lodge-About Us)
Matthew Reese, a driver for the Arrows Spooner location, learned about Faith’s Lodge from a customer who generously volunteers his time to make birdhouses for the facility. One of the lodge’s activities involves decorating these birdhouses in memory of loved ones to hang at their homes.
“We in Spooner are gathering all our dunnage to donate for the construction of the birdhouses,” said Matthew, after finding out about the project.
Since its opening in 2007, Faith’s Lodge has supported over 150,000 grieving parents across 46 states, providing a crucial resource for those in need!
